242 SMALL GROUPS

Soccer teams, neighborhood associations, alumni groups… like-minded people tend to gather together. 242 Groups are safe places for adults to journey in the hope of Christ together and be transformed by the gospel through discussion, Bible study, fellowship and food. Groups meet at various times during the week all over the Eastern Shore.

Why 242 Groups?
Growing in Community – As humans, we crave community. Spiritual growth, accountability, and family can occur as members grow together and learn to love the Lord and one another as Christ has commanded. You may make your strongest friendships within your 242 Small Group!

Being the Church – At OBC, our 242 Groups are becoming our main entry point for community. They also truly represent the church at a personal level. Therefore, belonging to a small group is a way to truly be part of the OBC family.

Reaching the Shore – 242 Small Groups also serve as a way to reach others for Christ, recognizing that seeing the gospel “lived out” in a caring community serves as a powerful testimony to the radical love of God.
