Our Strategy
At Onancock Baptist Church we have a strategy for discipleship in the local church we call our Discipleship Pathway. Our Discipleship Pathway outlines four distinct areas we expect every member of the church to be engaged in. It is designed to help every member at Onancock Baptist Church to grow in their faith and to use their gifts and talents in service to one another. We expect every member of the church to commit to Worship regularly in corporate worship. We know that you can't be here every week, but weekly corporate worship is an important aspect of every believers life and should be a primary focus. We also expect each member to be connected to the body of Christ in a small group setting. Our small groups are called Life Groups and they are times where we can intentionally come together in a smaller and more relational setting and study the word of God as well as minister to one another. We also expect each member to grow in their personal relationship with God. This is done through intentional times of prayer as well as times of devotions where we read and study the Word of God. Finally, we expect each member to serve the local church and the world around it with the gifts that God has given them. Onancock Baptist Church has many opportunities for you to serve both in the local church and around the world as we take the gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth.
